Guo specializes in the fields of Macroeconomic & Industrial Policy Studies.
In recent years, his research is focus on China as a world factory. Guo paid special attention to the relationship between China¡¯s world factory and US, Japan¡¯s industries, to how it will affect China, US and Japan¡¯s economy and politics. He is also interested in the southeast of China, especially the economic relationship among Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Summary
Guo graduated from Nankai University in 1987 and majored in Economics. He received PhD in Economics from Nankai University in 1991.
Guo has abundant work experiences in university, government and large enterprise. He has token charge of kinds of consulting business for governments since he was transferred to CDI in 1995
CDI is a large independent research and consulting organization with strong government background. One of the major works of CDI is to provide consulting services for government at all levels.
As the vice president of CDI, Guo is in charge of economic research & consulting, especially the study on the Chinese government¡¯s policy making for both central and local governments. In 2006, Guo was the head of the research project called ¡°Study on the Important Areas and Regions in the New Round of China¡¯s Opening¡±, which was entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of China. And he also took charge of the¡±Study on the Development Strategies of Cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong¡± entrusted by Shenzhen municipal government.
